"The trip was so amazing! Thank you so much for planning it and for spending so much time with us. We learned so much and we came home with great photos. Pete and I both have some decent bird photos from the Kalahari.

Umlani was an incredible experience, it was a perfect recommendation. The managers, Nina and Don, were great and seemed to like spending time with us and the food, atmosphere, staff, rangers, etc were awesome.

The early morning tracking animals on foot in the bush was the most amazing experience for me. Our first morning out we walked out and got pretty close to a pride of lions that had just killed a warthog. I'll attach my photo of one of the females carrying the head off like a trophy! You had mentioned that seeing lions from the car was dull but seeing them on foot was so different and we really got to experience that. Amazingly my photos aren't all shaky!

We saw lots of birds, Formen, the head ranger, was our guide the whole week. He was sweet, gentle, confident, really knowledgeable, and brilliant about what the animals would do and where they would head next. "

From start to finish, our Southern Africa experience was filled with elegance, history, adventure, and thrills.

The trip was outstanding. Everything worked; the places we stayed were excellent, including Felix's place in Johannesburg. The weather could not have been better as a matter of fact we only had a brief afternoon of rain in Cape Town, otherwise bright sunny days. The Safari's were terrific, the people were great. Lots of highlights!

Our trip in South Africa was truly fantastic. You really succeeded in giving us a good first-hand knowledge of South Africa and you organized an excellent balance of adult and kid activities which helped to keep Tinos "under control". Thank you. On the accommodation front, the majority of the accommodations were excellent. Our top most favourites were Winchester Mansions, the guest house in Oudtshoorn and the Tsitsikama Lodge. The people at Mount Roberts were truly special. We found Winchester Mansions very special not only for the quality of the accommodation but also their magnificent and discreet service.

Steve and Badresh made our trip really special. Their incredible knowledge of South Africa, their passion for eco-tourism and their high intellect added a dimension at the trip that was far beyond our expectations. We hope to see them again when we are back and they should feel that they have friends in London.

The trip exceeded our expectations and it has been the best holiday we have had so far. We are already dreaming of the next one, possibly a combination between South Africa and Zimbabwe or Botswana. 2007 is going to be Europe and Middle East for us (we have friends in Oman that we will be visiting) but 2008 is likely to be Africa again. We are now bitten by the African "bug" and we cannot wait to get back.
